Svenskt Tenn Admiration

In a couple of weeks, Robin and I will visit the Svenskt Tenn store as part our trip to see makers and factories in Europe. We first were drawn to the company when we discovered this great Swedish wallpaper design from Josef Frank for our living room because it had such a timeless quality. But what we also really admire is their goal to keep these iconic designs and the company living forever, which is what they’ve done. From their site: “Svenskt Tenn is owned by a foundation with a single goal: that the company should live forever. This gives us the opportunity to work with quality and a long-term approach, which few companies have the privilege to do.” We think that business model is really unique.
